For those disappointed about the BYU loss to Utah...this might cheer you up a bit. I couldn't stop laughing. This is a good one.

New Shoes!!!
Famous Footwear was having a by one get the 2nd half off sale last night. Mark needed some new shoes. So he found some that he really liked. They were a a really good deal.
So we went to look for some shoes for me. They are so comfortable. I love them. With the 1/2 off sale and since the shoes were marked down to $30, I got them for $15! What a deal. They were originally $55. I found these:

You are the Weakest Link...Goodbye!
I saw an article on yahoo.com about which characters need to be kicked off their respective show. Yahoo chose 5 TV celebrities that should be gone.
1. Izzie Stevens--Grey's Anatomy
2. Mohinder Suresh--Heroes
3. Tyra Banks--America's Next Top Model
4. Vanessa Abrams--Gossip Girl
5. Chef Gordon Ramsay--Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares
I have never watched Grey's Anatomy or Gossip Girl, so I have no opinion about those characters. Being an avid Heroes fan, I have to agree with Mohinder. I think that America's Next Top Model is the stupidest show. Come on...how many cycles are you going to do? How many Top Model's does America Need? Chef Ramsay can only be tolerated for so long. I have only seen a few episodes of Hell's Kitchen, but Mark and I started to watch Kitchen Nightmares. That show is so gross. How can people feel comfortable running an eating establishment that is that dirty? His language (every other word is BEEP...BEEP...BEEP--He's worse than Jerry Sloan!) is awful. He needs some vocabulary lessons.
I thought how fun! So I decided to do my own version of Celebrity Weakest Link.
Her story line is so lame. The networks are force feeding us her story. They know it is lame, yet they keep making her the center of it all. She is so so so so so so annoying. "Oh...I'm a cheerleader....I can't get hurt...I want to save people...I want to fight people..."(said in a high pitched whiny girl voice) She wants to fight people, yet she has no fighting ability. Take Monday's (11/17/08) episode. She tells the guys they have to go through her and then next second, she is pinned to the floor. Come On!! Really? Really!
Quite Frankly, the guy is just plain annoying. I like this show, but I can't stand watching it because of this guy. He is trying too hard to be funny and he is not at all.
I know the show hasn't even started, but she needs to be kicked off the show. She is the most annoying person. Her obsession with Tom Cruise is way over the top. It is unnatural. Rosie...he's not going to marry you. You are not his type of woman even though you so desperately try.
5. Pace Manion--Jazz Live TV Anchor
This is someone that Mark would love to see go. All he does is parrots what Thurl Bailey says. He claims to be an NBA player expert having played a 10 day contract with the Jazz. How does that make you an expert? His insight have no thought. Why do we owe him anything? He only played 10 days with the Jazz. Does Larry feel bad and so he now has a job being a Jazz analyst?
You are the weakest link....Goodbye! It is time to pack your bags and leave the house.

She is the loudest and most annoying person on the show. She has no opinion except being the loudest and most controversial opinion. She is a meaner, louder, more annoying Rosie O'Donnell. Her only credentials are being a stand-up comedian; however, before she did that, she was an English teacher. No wonder she didn't survive. Her students didn't like her. Its a wonder she has lasted this long on the show.

Cool Website!!!
I found this website while browsing The Cutest Blog on the Block website. It is an online scrapblog. It's like Photoshop...only online. I was having a lot of fun creating pages. If you want, you can order prints or print them from your personal printer. This my idea of scrapbooking! No mess at all.

Penguins...Synonymous with Love
I love penguins. They are so cute and cuddly! As you know--penguins are synonymous with love. Young baby penguins are so fluffy.
While Mark and I were at Sea World this summer, we stopped by to see the penguins at the Penguin Encounter. My favorite penguins there were the Magellanic Penguin. They were in the outside exhibit. These guys are the medium sized penguins. They get to be about 2-2 1/2 feet tall and weigh no more than 15 pounds. They live in Argentina, Chile, Falkland Islands, and some live in Brazil.

Some of my favorite penguin movies are:
Penguins also appear in Madagascar. Those are some of the funniest penguins. They came out with their own animated short Penguin's Christmas Caper. It was originally released at the beginning of Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Then it was put on the Madagascar DVD. In the story, the youngest penguin on the team, Private, slips out of the zoo on Christmas Eve to find a present for a lonely polar bear named Ted. While roaming the streets of Manhattan, he is captured by an old lady who mistakes him for a chew toy for her vicious dog, Mr Chew. The other three penguins, Skipper, Kowalski, and Rico, rescue Private from the old lady's apartment before it is too late. At the end of the film they invite Ted to their home. But he had already invited guests, resulting in a massive sing-a-long to a parody of Jingle Bells. (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Madagascar_Penguins_in_a_Christmas_Caper) I haven't seen Madagascar 2 yet, but I want to see it! Those guys are probably my favorite penguin characters.
The Penguins: Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, and Private, are four penguins who spend their days planning an escape that will take them back to Antarctica. When the penguins do make it to Antarctica, they are surprised to see a cold, barren land that they do not like and so, decide to take the ship to Florida. However, having run out of fuel, they beach the ship in Madagascar.
Skipper is the leader of the group. Kowalski, the smartest and tallest of the penguins, thinks of plans and takes notes for Skipper. Private is distinguishable by his googly eyes and soft English accent; he is the youngest of the group and specializes in code breaking. Rico is good with knives, has a fondness for explosives, and is the only one of the four seen swimming. He also regurgitates useful objects such as a piece of wire for picking locks with. Alex describes the penguins as psychotic (while they say the same of him). Skipper calls Marty their "monochromatic friend", amusing since both kinds of animals are "black and white". Election Party 2008
Now that the dust has settled, I really don't know what to think about the election results.
Mark's family holds an election party for every Presidenial election. It was really fun. Direct TV had a channel where you could watch like 8 news stations all at them same time: ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN, MSNBC, FOX News, and BBC America. It was really cool.
We all had a copy of a map of the United States, and as the states were being called we were coloring them in. It was really fun.
Back to my thoughts....I hear all these outrageous claims about Obama, and it kind of makes me angry that people will believe anything they hear: Like he isn't a US citizen, or he is going to bring terrorists into the country, etc. News flash---He wouldn't be able to run for President in the first place if he wasn't. I think we are over reacting a bit. Maybe he is what our country needs to pull through the mess we are in....we will see.

Frightmares at Lagoon
We stood in line for an hour just to go in one of the haunted houses. I do not like scary stuff, let alone haunted houses. While we were standing in line, this guy dressed up in a bloody butcher costume came up behind me and scared me half to death, and then in the haunted house (the clown one--its a good thing clowns don't scare me) a guy was dressed up like The Joker and played a trick on
It was fun. On on the rides we went on, I didn't go on two of them: the swing ride and the bat ride. While standing in line for the haunted house, Mark and I had some of our friends save our place while we went on the Jet Star, which was right in front of us. I tweeked my neck and whenever I would look to the right, my neck and right shoulder would hurt. After many hot showers, some ibuprofen, and lots of sleep I am much better.
Roller Coaster Tycoon
A couple of weeks ago I loaded Roller Coaster Tycoon on my computer. It is now my new favorite game. I am not a big computer gamer or video gamer. In fact, I rarely turn on the PS3. If I do, it is a rare occasion and I only play for about 15-30 minutes. Mark on the other hand, when he has time, will play for hours. I like to sit and watch him and help him play his games. I am not very good at video games.
My favorite video games are: Hot Shots Golf 4, Virtua Tennis, Katamari, and Rock Band. I am not good at playing Mario Brothers. I can't jump over the holes. I always jump too short or just fall in. I tried playing Zelda and Ratchet and Clank once, but I didn't get very far because I got stuck and couldn't figure it out.
I like Roller Coaster Tycoon because I can build the rides and manage the park. I actually am not a big fan of rides and roller coasters, but I love to build them. I spent all day today playing the game. I love it! I think I am going to ask for RCT 3 for Christmas.
Halloween

Mark and I (especially Mark) were upset and disappointed that we didn't get any trick-or-treaters this year. We went to Costco and bought a big bag of mini candy bars to handout, but no one came! That is the one (of many) thing I don't like about living in apartments. You don't get any trick-or-treaters. Our complex even gave us a sign to hang on our door if we were going to be giving out candy. We hung our sign on the door, and the porch light automatically turns on, but no one came. Maybe next year we will be in a place where we will get lots of trick-or-treaters.
This is one of my favorite times of the year. I am not a big fan of Halloween, but I love from November 1 to January 2(ish). I love the smells, the cold, the Christmas music and decorations, and Thanksgiving stuff: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls, fruit salad. Oh and not to mention, Mark graduates in December.

High School Musical 3
Yes, I was one of those that went to see High School Musical 3 on opening night. I went with my sisters. Alyiah is on my right and Sydnee is on my left.

The movie was so funny. I had only seen the 2nd one when it came out on TV, and I have never seen the first. I am not into the High School Musical scene, so it was all really weird. There were a bunch of 3, 4, and 5 year olds and their moms in the theater. All I could do was laugh.
On our way home, we got caught in the traffic. Just past the Pleasant Grove exit a Honda Civic hit a semi. The freeway was closed and we were directed off at the PG exit. When it normally takes about 10-15 minutes to get from Thanksgiving Point to 1600 N. Orem, it took us an hour. I didn't get home until about 11pm.
