Tess' Baptism

A week after school got out, we went down to Phoenix for my niece's (Tess) baptism.  It was really fun.  Everyone was able to make it except Greg, Angie, and Abbie.  We really missed them.  Mark's dad rented a house in Tempe and we all stayed there.  Luckily there was a pool in the backyard or else we would have died!  It was super hot, like 110 degrees everyday.  But I loved it!  I love the dry heat.  Every time we go down to Phoenix I tell Mark how I would love to move down there.  People think I am crazy...well I guess I am.  I hate the cold weather and the snow, so Phoenix is a perfect fit for me.  We were there from Thursday to Monday.

We drove down with Mark's parents.  Kit loved having Grandma in the back seat with her.  They played with princesses, sang songs, and watched movies.

We made a stop at Jacob's Lake on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon for some delicious cookies.  Kit was in heaven.  Cookies are one of her favorite things.

Here is her swimming outfit.  She looks like she is from The Christmas Story only Phoenix style.  Even though she was wearing all this floaty gear, she wouldn't get in the pool.  She was content chilling poolside with her sunglasses and floaties.  The only thing she would do is sit on the edge and put her feet in the water.

There is a place in Phoenix called Bahama Bucks.  It has THE BEST shaved ice I have ever had.  You have to get it Bahama Rama Mama (or something like that) style.  They put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the bottom of the cup and pour cream on top. HEAVENLY!!!  Kit loved it.  She called it ice cream and has been asking for it ever since.  That my friend is a baby size.  They are ginormous.

Of course there was lots of iPad time watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Kit is too busy with her cake and ice cream.  She hasn't stopped asking for it.

Kit and Chloe's birthdays are only two days apart.  While we were down there, we celebrated some birthdays.  The girls loved it.
