Kaysville Christmas 2008

Every year for Christmas, we go to Mark's grandparents house in Kaysville. It is always so much fun. A wonderful dinner is prepared, and as always I eat way too much. But it is so good!! This year we had ham, scalloped potatoes, salad: green and fruit, squash, broccoli, fruit, veggies, Sue's rolls, and cake and ice cream. It was all so good.

After dinner we sat down in the living room and had the Christmas program. Grandpa read from Luke 2 and Mark's mom played the piano while we sang Christmas songs.

2008 Welling Family Christmas Skit:
Every year after the Christmas program there is a family talent/skit show. This year Mark wrote the script for our skit. We decided to do a parody of famous Christmas films and stories. We did "Santa Clause is Comin' to Town," "Frosty the Snowman," "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer," "Miracle on 34th Street," "Feliz Navidad," "It's a Wonderful Life," "A Christmas Carol," and "Charlie Brown Christmas." Mark shortened these stories to be told in 1 minute or less. It was all really funny. He did such a good job writing the script.

After the family skits, we exchanged presents. First we got awesome pajama pants! Thanks Grandma, they are so comfortable. After that we gave the cousin gift. Each of the cousins picks a name and gives a gift to that cousin for Christmas. This year we picked Ali. We got her some gloves and a scarf. Dave and Courtney picked us and got us a really cool reading light. It is called a Wink. It looks like an eye attached to a bendy wire.
